Mark Twain, born Samuel Clemens, was one of the most important American writers of the 19th century. With works such as “Life on the Mississippi”, “Tom Sawyer” and “Huckleberry Finn”, he had a lasting influence on literature. His humorous anecdotes and astute observations of society made him famous – as an author, speaker and traveller. Twain was not only a writer, but also a riverboat pilot, inventor and entrepreneur. Steiff honours this multifaceted personality with a collector’s figurine that brings his distinctive character and literary legacy to life.
